An important part of a transmitter or receiver for transmitting or receiving the RF signal.
Antenna gain
The ratio of the signal of a directional antenna to that of a non-directional rod antenna, as a measure of the effectiveness of a directional antenna as compared to a standard non-directional antenna. The value is given in dB. Positive values are achieved in the direction of radiation, while negative values are achieved at the "back" of the antenna. Antenna gain is used to refer to both transmission and receiving antennas.
Connector
A standardised single or multi-pole plug for connecting units or accessories.
