General Description
The SI 20 is a small- to medium-area transmitter, which can be connected to audio components via an 1/8" or 1/4" plug. It has the ability to switch transmitting frequencies from 95 kHz to 250 kHz or both for two channel/stereo operation. Capable of covering approximately 750 sq. feet, the SI 20 is sufficient for small screening rooms, or as a monitor transmitter for the projectionist at movie theaters. Coverage can be increased with the addition of DC powered SZI 30 slave emitters. A system with one SI 20 transmitter and up to three SZI 30 slave emitter panels is ideal for small- to medium-sized theaters where a SZI 1029-T or SI 1013/SZI 1029-T system would be too large.

Glossary
IR diodes
High-quality gallium arsenide diodes used in IR radiators to transmit modulated infra-red light.
Nominal deviation
Also known as reference deviation. The nominal deviation has been fixed at 40kHz to be able to give comparable technical data.
Operating voltage (mains)
Gives the (mains) voltage range for which a unit has been designed.
Output impedance
Gives the internal impedance of an a.c. source. If the input of a subsequent load has the same input impedance, we speak of a matched impedance. The maximum power is delivered to the load.
