Business Intelligence Analyst
You will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining business intelligence (BI) applications as part of a global team with focus on the American Region (Americas and Canada). You will provide guidance and training to business users in the region on these applications, solicit requirements for new views/reports and propose new views/reports based on their own data analysis. You will work as part of the global IT team on improving the global data model and coordinate the maintenance of the data model in the global ERP system for the American region. In addition you will participate in all phases of the BI system development lifecycle as an intermediary between business user and data warehouse back-end.

Essential Skills and Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • quantitative data analysis & analytical skills
    • business processes management / modeling
    • organizing data, analyzing information and developing appropriate recommendations
    • data model of complex ERP systems (JDE EnterpriseOne preferred)
    • data warehouse technologies, concepts and best practices
    • Microstrategy 8 Desktop, Distribution Services & Architect or comparable BI solution
    • Business Objects Crystal Enterprise Server & Reports
  • Strong work planning, prioritization skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management
  • Strong skills in requirements definition
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong SQL query skills
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Must be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment
Education/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business
Other:
  • Minimum 3-4 years related work experience.
