the company is involved. Sennheiser is extremely proud to be affiliated with the several noteworthy
organizations listed below.
Sennheiser products complement a wide variety of musical styles and genres, and jazz is no exception. The New Mexico Jazz Workshop (NMJW), which has been going strong since 1976, spotlights local and international jazz artists through several concert series, including Salsa, Jazz and Blues Under the Stars; New Mexico Jazz Stories: An Evening with the Artist; and Jazz, Deconstructed. As the organization embarks on its 35th year, the NMJW continues to reach out and connect with thousands of students each year with its Roots of Jazz program, Honor Jazz Bands, Summer Jazz Camp, JDC/YRC, South Valley Band Project, Summer Jazz Intensive, Music a la Mode, Take Five,and Adult Education Programs.
Award-winning theater and architectural marvel The Goodspeed Opera House deserves nothing less than Sennheiser's high-quality microphone technology. Dedicated to the preservation and advancement of musical theater, Goodspeed pioneered the practice of rethinking, restoring, and revitalizing America's musical theater heritage. Nineteen Goodspeed productions have transferred to Broadway, receiving over a dozen Tony Awards. Sennheiser is proud to be the official audio sponsor of this historic 1867 Victorian Opera House, which is located in East Haddam, CT.
To carry out his dream of creating an environment totally focused on the art of making music, Brian Hardgroove – guitarist, band director and producer of Public Enemy – looked to Sennheiser and Neumann to ensure The Fuse Box would be loaded with the latest and most innovative microphone technology. The Fuse Box, which is also the name for Hardgroove's nationally syndicated radio show, is a centrifuge for new music and content creation located in New York City’s legendary multimedia and entertainment complex, the Manhattan Center. Sennheiser and Neumann are proud to be part of this high-quality studio.
Sennheiser is a proud sponsor the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Expo. Using Sennheiser eH 250 headphones, musically-inclined attendees got a chance to play their own music for established, well-known songwriters during the one-on-one mentoring sessions.
Each year, Sennheiser proudly supports the Broadway Sound Master Classes, hosted by Live Design magazine. Designed for those wondering just how the biggest theater productions capture magical sound, the classes provide registrants with a close look at the latest sound techniques and products used on Broadway.
These days, with the prevalence of teens listening to iPods and other portable music devices at high volume levels, hearing loss is a possible risk. The House Ear Institute non-profit organization aims to raise awareness of this issue, and has enlisted Sennheiser's help in reaching a wider audience.
