Sennheiser's modular and compact MKH 8000 series, selected in the Microphone Technology/Recording Products category, lends subtle and incredibly natural warmth to a variety of applications, including broadcast, recording and performance use. Available in three models—the MKH 8020 (omni), MKH 8040 (cardioid) and MKH 8050 (supercardioid)—the series achieves top-quality speech, vocal, and instrumental reproduction with an extremely wide frequency response. The MKH 8000 microphones are finished with a Nextel-black coating to prevent glare.

The Klein + Hummel O 410 midfield monitors, nominated in the Studio Monitor Technology category, is specially designed for use in music, broadcast and post-production studios for tracking, mixing and mastering. The O 410, which can be mixed freely with other Klein + Hummel loudspeakers, features a dedicated midrange driver for extremely low harmonic and intermodulation distortion and outstandingly clean audio reproduction. The O 410 adapts to a variety of environments and includes flexible acoustical controls.
